Happy Saturday, Reader —

We are nearly at the vernal equinox again – one of these seasonal turning points that mark a noticable shift. On Tuesday, equal light and equal dark. Even Steven, we balance with the universe once again before leaping forth into the illumination of spring and the fiery blaze of summer.

I love this time of year! Darkness slows to a crawl where brightness pauses before picking up the pace. Equal in, and equal out – nature cycles through its rhythms, much like we inhale and exhale. Spring brings the urge to get clear, to move more, to soak in daylight and to begin seeing signs of new growth.

Breath work is a great practice for springtime — and an essential way to regulate your nervous system year round. The waves of fresher, warmer air feel like spring cleaning for your lungs — and indeed, so many of our usual blockages in life can be cleared with a simple breath.
